Create a hierarchy of wants and just before that list.. list your needs. Most often times finding the right home is more a matter of accepting trade-offs. If you have a spouse this process will require you to discuss and clearly state what are the most important aspects or fixtures. Be sure to clearly tell your agent what you want. Ask the agent if he know of anything on the market that will satisfy all the criteria you have. Do yourself and your agent a favour, please stop looking of sites that do not have accurate listings. If your agent cant get you a list, I would recommend a new agent. Get a clear idea of the area you want to be in and become well versed on just what you want in that area. Be careful not to compare other areas without consulting your agent as prices may seem better, but remember there are always trade-offs. So be sure to understand them clearly before making an offer.
